Whenever I buy someone a gift I always like to make sure I put some thought into it. I try to get an idea of what they are into by thinking about how they spend their free time. You can always give a cliché gift like a gift card or money, but it is so much nicer when the gift has meaning or is relevant to someone’s life. Once you have an idea of what type of gift you are going to get for that person, you need to think of the actual gift. Sometimes this is where I have a hard time. I have some friends that are into really obscure or bizarre things, so it can be difficult to think about what I could possibly get for them. For example, I myself am not that into sports. I enjoy going to live sporting events because I love the excitement and how everybody (or at least fans on each side) are like a community for the day. However, I have some female friends who are very into sports, or specific teams even, and I often feel lost when I think about what I could get them when their birthday comes around. I have started to make a little list the more often this happens, so take a look at the great ideas below.

Favorite Team or Player Jersey

One of the best gifts you can get for a girl who loves sports, is a jersey. Even if she already has one for the team or the player she is into, you can always get her second one for laundry day. If you can get one that she does not have, she might be really excited to add to her collection. Look online to find the best deals on any team or player jersey you are searching for.

Tickets to the Game

This is a pretty obvious one and can also be a little bit pricey, so it depends how close you are and how much money you are interested in spending. However, if this is a possibility for you, I promise she will be excited. You can even look for tickets on or near her birthday and take her to the game. Otherwise just gift the tickets and let her choose who to bring. You may not be interested in going anyway. If you are going to take her to the game make sure you treat for drinks and snacks too to make a whole day of it.

Clothes and Jewelry

Even though your friend might really like sports, she can still be a girlie girl, so treat her like one. A great gift like a Kate Spade bag or a new outfit will make her feel really special. If you really want to impress her let her pick the bag out herself so she can get the exact color she wants. Jewelry is always a good option as well. Check out the best trends for this season and pick out a piece she can wear with her new outfit.
